Bio-LNG

What is Bio-LNG?

Bio-LNG is a biofuel made by processing organic waste flows, such as organic household and industrial waste, manure, and sewage sludge. Biomethane liquefaction is a value stream which can be obtained once methane is separated from carbon dioxide and other critical components, and then liquefied at -160℃. This is a highly complex process, however you increase the energy density 600 times which makes the biofuel ideal for heavy-duty and maritime transport.

WHAT WE DO

We have developed a patent-pending technology for a new biomethane liquefaction pretreatment polisher, designed for trace CO2-removal from biomethane, also known as deep CO2-removal. The paramount factor for a successful end-product is efficient polishing where all traces of unwanted components are removed.

A successful story

OUR BIO-LNG SOLUTIONS

Liquefaction Pre-treatment: Airco Process Technology’s Biomethane polisher is designed for removing trace levels of CO2 and H2O from biomethane or natural gas.

WHY LIQUEFY METHANE

The heavy transport sector is a big contributor to climate change, with emissions from trucks and buses making up about one-fifth of all transportation CO2.

While many solutions are available for reducing the environmental impact of transportation, such as electric vehicles or better public transportation, they often require major infrastructure changes or behavioral changes from consumers.

LBG (Liquid BioGas) is the easiest way to substitute today’s use of fossil fuel in the heavy transport sector 1:1 using nearly the same drivelines as the current diesel vehicles.

Liquid BioGas provides a simple and easy way to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the heavy transport sector using existing technology. LBG can substitute heavy fuel, resulting in a 100% renewable fuel source.

All solutions and equipment are known. In addition, when increasing the number of domestic facilities where renewable and fossil-free fuel is produced, it becomes possible to reduce/eliminate today’s transport of fossil fuels across the land through heavy transportation.
